Vet Emergency Care FAQ

Some frequently asked questions regarding emergency pet care include:

How do I know if it's an emergency?

We understand that, in the moment, it’s not always easy to determine if your pet is having an emergency. If you feel like something is wrong, trust your instincts, and don’t hesitate to contact our animal hospital. We are happy to respond quickly and help determine if your furry loved one is suffering from a non-threatening issue or if they require immediate attention.

What happens next? Will my pet need a follow-up appointment?

We want your pet to recover as quickly as possible. Depending on the issue, additional testing or services may be required after the initial emergency visit. Our caring veterinary team will always discuss treatment options, costs, and recovery times with you before moving forward with any procedures.

Can I be with my pet during the emergency visit?

Yes. Seeing a familiar face can help your pet relax during the examination. However, if we must perform an emergency procedure, we may ask that you remain in the waiting room. Rest assured, our trusted and attentive staff will continuously monitor your pet’s condition and will always be transparent regarding your pet’s health and well-being.
